Q: How do I know if my Avid system is compatible with the plug-ins?

A: Most Avid AVX systems are compatible. (SpeedRamP requires Avid software from 2001 or later.) See our System Requirements. Even if not compatible, installation will cause no harm to a system.

Q: My browser asks "Do you want to Run the file from this location, or Save it to disk?"

A: You can do either. If you choose "Save it to disk", note the location where the file "3ProngInstaller.exe" is saved so that you can run it when saved. If you choose "Run the file from this location", you may see a caution about Authenticode signatures. This is normal, and no cause for concern.

Q: Can I download the Windows version to a Macintosh computer?

A: Yes! Save the file "3ProngInstaller.exe" to a PC-format floppy disk. Move the disk to your Windows Avid system, and drag the file onto the Windows desktop. Double-click on the file there.

Q: I want to reinstall some 3Prong AVX Plug-Ins which were deleted from my system.
Q: I want to upgrade to a newer version of a plug-in.

A: Any old versions of plug-ins will be updated but existing Unlocking Codes will remain valid and undisturbed. Go ahead with the installation.     (back)
