DirtFiX helps repair video dropouts, film dirt, and other transient defects in footage.
It works by cloning a clean portion of a related field or frame to cover over the defect.
Similar to the Scratch Removal feature found on some Avid systems, it has a unique
combination of features:
- Repair individual fields with ease. No opening and closing shapes; each keyframe is a
patch. Back-to-back patches within an effect.
- Subpixel shifting and resizing of the patch, to accurately compensate for camera or
subject movement over time.
- Apply as either a segment or transition effect, whichever is more convenient.
Advantages over other solutions:
- No import/export of media to another application. Repair data stays within the sequence
to allow for redigitization.
- No additional video tracks needed, reducing trimming and EDL hassles.
- Choose to patch with the matching clean portion of the previous field or frame, or
another clean portion of the current field.
- Outward feathering on patch for smooth blending.
- Now only US $80!
DirtFiX is also compatible with older AVX 1.0 Macintosh Avid systems (such as Media
Composer 7.x) for two-field media.
